ADORATION SODALITY
SHRINE of the MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT

WHAT IS THE ADORATION SODALITY ?
Our Adoration Sodality is a prayer group for laity, priests and religious alike, to spiritually join us in our mission of adoring Our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament. The goal of the Sodality is to answer Jesus' desire to "draw all men to Himself'" (Jn. 12:32) and give Him unremitting thanksgiving in the Most Blessed Sacrament all throughout the world.
WHAT DO SODALITY MEMBERS DO ?
Sodality members commit themselves to an hour of Eucharistic Adoration on a regular basis, either monthly, weekly or daily, before the Hidden Eucharistic Jesus present in any Monstrance or Tabernacle in the world. Members are encouraged to join spiritually with our Poor Clare Nuns by praying the "I Adore Thee" Prayer during their adoration hour.

"Eucharistic Adoration offers to our people the opportunity to join those in religious life to pray for the salvation of the world, souls everywhere and peace on earth. We cannot underestimate the power of prayer and the difference it will make in our world."
- Mother Teresa of Calcutta

BECOME A SODALITY MEMBER
WHAT
I adore Thee, O Jesus, God of Love, truly present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
A Sodality is a religious association or group. The Adoration Sodality at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament joins people of every place in Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament so that all may come to know Jesus, love Jesus and live in the grace of Christ Jesus.
WHY
I adore Thee, Whom the majority of mankind reject and despise.
Sodality Adorers dedicate themselves to reparative thanksgiving for our Savior’s Presence. They commit themselves to deepening their relationship with Him in order to console His Eucharistic Heart by praying for the salvation of souls.
WHO
I adore Thee with all Thy friends, O Jesus!
In communion with the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration of
Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, all their fellow adorers, and all the Saints and Angels in Heaven, the Sodality takes part in the Communion of Saints in adoration before God’s Throne.

Member Commitments:
- Commit to a Holy Hour of intentional Eucharistic Adoration, on a regular basis (monthly, weekly or daily).
- Pray their Holy Hour before the Hidden Eucharistic Jesus present in any Monstrance or Tabernacle in the world.
- Pray the “I Adore Thee” Prayer once during each personal Holy Hour, in union with the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration.
I Adore Thee Prayer (mobile version)
- Make a private spiritual pledge to one of three commitment levels which provide Franciscan friends with whom to adore the Lord:
Saint Francis Guild: Daily Holy Hour
Saint Clare Guild: Weekly Holy Hour
Saint Anthony Guild: Monthly Holy Hour
NOTE: At any time, if a Sodality Member is unable to make a particular Holy Hour, the private spiritual pledge to a Companion Saint Guild does not bind under pain of sin, i.e., circumstances can dispense a Sodality Adorer from their private commitment to Our Lord. Individuals who are "shut-ins" may join the Sodality by entering into Adoration in the silence of their hearts, offering their suffering in reparative thanksgiving to Our Eucharistic Lord.
Member Benefits:
- Monthly Mass offered for Sodality Members.
- Monthly Sodality Day of Recollection at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament including Mass with Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word (MFVA) Friars or Guest Eucharistic Preachers, Adoration, Confession, Eucharistic Healing Service, Shrine Tours, Breakfast and Lunch.

A Holy Hour is an hour of prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament – either exposed in a Monstrance or in front of a Tabernacle, anywhere in the world. +What if I can’t make my Holy Hour? Your Holy Hour commitment and frequency is not binding and may be changed due to circumstances. We only ask that as a member of the Adoration Sodality, you make a minimum of one Holy Hour per month. If circumstances prevent you from making your Holy Hour, begin again. All is well. +What guild am I in if I make a Holy Hour at a different frequency than what is outlined? The various guilds are offered only as a Holy Hour frequency guide or goal, and to provide you with a companion Saint as a friend with whom to adore the Lord. The frequency of your Adoration Holy Hour(s) is entirely up to you and is between you and Our Lord. +May I switch back and forth between the 3 guilds? Yes. The various guilds are offered only as a Holy Hour frequency guide or goal, and to provide you with companion Saints as friends with whom to adore the Lord. +Do I have to be Catholic to join the Adoration Sodality? A non-Catholic may join the Adoration Sodality as long as he/she commits to making a minimum of one Holy Hour per month and attends Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation (non-Catholics may attend Holy Mass, refraining from receiving Holy Communion until they become Catholic). +Do I have to attend the Sodality Days of Recollection? Attendance at the monthly Sodality Days of Recollection is not a membership requirement but we hope that you will plan to join us in person as you are able! +My grandmother is a “shut-in”; may she somehow join the Sodality?
