- How many can the Retreat House hold?
We can comfortably accommodate 18 people, but full capacity fluctuates between 20-24. Only 12 rooms have individual HVAC control.
- If I am bringing a group to the Shrine, can we all stay at the Retreat House?
Yes, if the group consists of fellow priests, deacons, seminarians, brothers or those who are discerning your diocese / community. Room is limited, so please inquire about availability early.
- How long may I stay?
The average stay of our guests is four nights. A priest may stay for two weeks. All others are normally restricted to one week. Registrants and guests are not guaranteed the right to stay the full time requested.
- Do I need a Letter of Suitability?
Yes, even if not planning to publicly celebrate the Sacraments. A Letter of Suitability or Good Standing should be sent to both of the following:

- How much does it cost to stay?
The Retreat House is offered FREE of charge, but for those who are able a $60-$80 per night, is encouraged. The Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration provide the Retreat House as a place of spiritual and physical renewal for Priests, Deacons, Religious Brothers and Seminarians.

- Can I be picked up from the airport?
Yes, we are happy to pick you up from either Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) or Huntsville International Airport (HSV) Because of the employee time and travel involved, a $75 donation is encouraged.
- What do I need to bring to celebrate Mass?
You may wish to bring your alb, but the Retreat House has a fully functioning sacristy complete with sacred vestments and vessels.
The Retreat House welcomes both the Ordinary and Extraordinary forms of the Roman Rite and has all the necessary liturgical materials. We also have Spanish language books.

- Do you accommodate for food allergies?
Yes. Please indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you register. We will do our best to accommodate.
- Is the Retreat House handicap accessible?
Yes, the facility is handicap accessible. If you require a handicap accessible room please mention it in the message section of the reservation page.
- Do I get a discount at the Gift Shop of El Niño?
Priests, Deacons and Religious receive a 20% discount on most items in the Gift Shop. Check out their selection of vestments and liturgical goods. If you do not find exactly what you would like, ask and they may be able to order it for you.

- If I am a male clerical member of another Church or Christian community, can I stay?
The Retreat House is typically for Roman Catholic Priests, Deacons, Brothers and Seminarians. However, the occasional exception has been made.
- If I am a married deacon, can I bring my wife?
